This is a club for classic DOS games and fanart of these.

There are many clubs about on DeviantART, but most of these are game-specific or character-specific. This club's goal is to celebrate classic old games that are no longer "popular", but still linger memorably in the back of our minds.

Names come to mind such as Day of the Tentacle, Sam & Max, Zak McKracken, Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis, Doom, Monkey Island, King's Quest, Maniac Mansion, well, the list goes on.

This isn't news as such as it was new in January 2009, but I just found it and thought it might be worth sharing :)

I discovered this forum thread on LucasForums that contain free movie style posters for classic video games such as Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, The Dig, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Maniac Mansion, Loom, Full Throttle and a few others.

Most images are 60x80cm @ 200dpi which gives something like 4724 x 6850 pixels. If I'm ever having a poster on my wall it will be one of these :)

Thanks,

Thanks for adding Morgiah! Mind, that picture was positively ANCIENT (and full of horrible, horrible flaws!), and a few years after that one, I made a portrait of her that, while also a few years old now, is quite a bit better in terms of technique. It can be found here</url>, should you be interested :)

Hi!
This might be a stupid question, but any way. Is it ok to submit cosplay pictures based on old DOS games? And if so, should I post them in the featured folder if I don't find a corresponding game folder?
Thanks!

Hi there,

yes I see no reason to decline cosplay pictures in this group, so feel free to submit them.

If you don't find a corresponding game folder then it is fine to submit to the featured folder, though you can also suggest new folders to be added.

Thanks,

-Stein

Hi!
I was just joining your group and submitting some fanart.
But I discovered that your folders are exclusively for certain games of that era.
There have been many more DOS games, some of them also classics.
Isn't it possible to have a "other DOS games" folder or something?
Thanks! :)

You can treat the "featured" folder as a generic "any/other DOS games" if you want. If you have any particular game that there isn't a folder for then it might be interesting to add one.

Let me know which games you'd like added and I'll get it sorted.
